Habitat:

Bare rock/talus/scree, Forest - Conifer, Forest/Woodland (NatureServe 2022)

Distribution:

Anisocarpus scabridus is restricted to northern California where it occurs on to metamorphic scree slopes at high elevations. It is known from Mendocino National Forest, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, and Six Rivers National Forest (CNDDB 2020). Nineteen occurrences are known. Threats include erosion, recreation, and development. (NatureServe 2022)
