Description:

Caulanthus lemmonii is an annual herb native to California with stems ranging from 10-80 cm, elongated leaves and creamy white flowers (with purple-brown tips) which bloom from March through May. [Jepson]

Based on an September 2020 extract of the California Plant Rescue Database, Santa Barbara Botanic Garden holds 3 accessions of Caulanthus lemmonii in orthodox seed collection. There are as many as 2363 seeds of this species in their collection - although some may have been used for curation testing or sent to back up.
