In accordance with the CPC and USFS Rare Plant Seed Banking Agreement, Sheila Murray from The Arboretum at Flagstaff made conservation seed collections from two populations of Penstemon nudiflorus in Coconino National Forest on September 21, 2019. The first population was located on Anderson Mesa Observatory Road and consisted of 100 individuals. Sheila collected an estimated 2050 seeds from 53 maternal plants. The second population was located on the Upper Lake Mary shoreline and consisted of 55 individuals. Sheila collected an estimated 1365 seeds from 51 maternal plants. For both collections, Sheila collected seed from all available reproductively mature individuals in the population.  Seeds were divided and duplicated between The Arboretum at Flagstaff and the National Laboratory for Genetic Resources Preservation in Fort Collins, CO.
