  • Seed Collection Orthodox Seed Banking

The Arboretum at Flagstaff made a seed collection from Astragalus rusbyi to support the USFS Region 3 Rare Plant Seed Banking project. The collection site was near Kendrick Mountain on the Kaibab National Forest and the habitat was Ponderosa Pine forest understory. The site was in great condition, however it is very near a popular forest road frequented by campers so it could be threatened by off-road vehicular travel.
