The California Botanic Garden made a conservation seed collection from a population of Gilia leptantha subsp. leptantha (San Bernardino gilia) located at Fish Creek near the Aspen Gove Trailhead in the San Bernardino Mountains of San Bernardino County, California on July 21, 2022. This is a recollection of the 2003 seed collection made by Valerie Soza (CalBG Accession #21365), and a seed sample was sent to the National Laboratory for Genetic Resources Preservation for use in the CPC/IMLS RNA Integrity Study.
