Description:

This hairy shrub is covered in golden-brown to dark-brown curved hairs and produces both white flowers and berries.

Habitat:

Found on steep slopes under moderate to dense shade, this critically endangered shrub grows in wet woodland forests.

Distribution:

C. wagneri is known from the Laupahoehoe Natural Area Reserve on Hawaii's big island, along the steep slopes by major streams in the area.
