Description:

This species of Cyanea can grow up to 1-2 m tall with stems sparingly branched. Leaves are oblong to obovate in shape with inflorescence flowers with yellow berries. This extremely rare shrub is only known from a subpopulation of two individuals found on the island of Maui. It is threatened by unregulated predation, habitat degradation, and invasive species.

This species occurs in habitats of mesic valleys around 550 to 900 meters in elevation.
