On May 16, 2019, in accordance with the CPC and USFS Rare Plant Seed Banking Agreement, Steve Blackwell from Desert Botanic Garden collected a total of 883 seeds from 50 of the population’s 100 reproductive individuals. Seed was divided and banked between the Desert Botanic Garden and the National Laboratory for Genetic Resources Preservation in Fort Collins, CO.

On May 16, 2019, in accordance with the CPC and USFS Rare Plant Seed Banking Agreement, Steve Blackwell from Desert Botanic Garden made a conservation seed collection Eriogonum ripleyi in Tonto National Forest on a gypsum outcrop south of Horseshoe Lake. Additional seed collections in subsequent years may be necessary to augment the size of this collection.
