This perennial herb has white flowers organized along short branched flower stalks.

Habitat:

P. parviflora var. parviflora is typically found in cloud habitats along stream banks and below waterfalls, dominated by `ohi`a trees.

Distribution:

It is unknown if it can still be found in its native range on Oahu and West Maui, as the last collection of the herb was made in 1938.
