  • Seed Collection Orthodox Seed Banking

The Arboretum at Flagstaff made a seed collection from Cirsium parryi ssp. mogollonicum to support the USFS Region 3 Rare Plant Seed Banking project. The collection site was near Dane Spring on the Coconino National Forest and the habitat was Ponderosa Pine forest understory. The site was quite overgrown with Robinia neomexicana and other understory species, and was very hard to access. There were only 7 individuals located, however more could be in the habitat but inaccessible.
