Description:

S. lanceoloideus is perennial vine species with round leaves and white minute flowers. These flowers mature into green beaked fruits. It is a member of the gourd family (DLNR 2013).

Where is `Anunu (Sicyos lanceoloideus) located in the wild?

Habitat:

Preferred habitats of this taxon feature mesic to dry forests (NatureServe 2016). It typically grows on ridges and spurs (DLNR 2013).

Distribution:

Endemic to the islands of Kaua`i and O`ahu, this vine is found in Kaua`i's Kalalau Valley and Waimea Canyon as well as the Wai`anae Mountains on O`ahu (DLNR 2013).
