Description:

This Cyanea species can grow up to 1-2 m tall with stems sparingly branches. Its leaves are oblong to obovate in shape with inflorescence flowers and yellow berries. It is threatened by unregulated predation, habitat degradation, and invasive species.

Habitat:

This species occurs in habitats of mesic valleys around 550-900 m in elevation.

Distribution:

This species was originally found on Maui and Lanai in 1982, but is now only known from a subpopulation of two individuals found in the Waihee Valley of the Hawaiian Island of Maui and Lanai.
