Establishing an experiment with high power and sample size (using R?)

Hi everyone, I am working on determining the minimum sample size for my re-introduction PhD experiment and was wondering if anyone could suggest an R packages or stats. I am looking at doing a split-plot design which I don’t think the “pwr” R package accounts for.  Ultimately I want to do a power analysis of these split plots/ plots to ensure I have enough plants per plot to make the experiment have higher power.
