Has anyone worked with storage of Dirca spp. seed?  We’re not sure if or how the fleshy fruit (endocarp) should be removed.

I collected some Dirca palustris in spring 2017 and did remove the endocarp for storage. We let the fruits dry a bit then squeezed the seed out by hand. Our greenhouse staff was successful in growing some out afterwards so I don’t think I damaged them. Hi Meg.  Thanks for your reply.  Actually, I posted this during the platform beta-testing session during the CPC meeting and wasn’t really expecting a response!  We have been working to create a seed bank for Dirca decipiens, a G1 species, so your experience is very helpful.  I enjoyed visiting with you at the CPC meeting and hope you don’t mind if I pester you with questions about seed banking equipment and facilities.  Thanks again!  Jim
