About
I manage conservation and research projects within the Plant Conservation team at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. I have a B.S. and M.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University - an interdisciplinary degree. I've largely focused on plant demography and ecological assessments, with occasional modeling and restoration monitoring and management. With our seed bank, our team collects seed and propagates material for restoration projects. Currently I serve as the coordinator of the California Plant Rescue initiative, bringing various California plant conservation entities together to bank the flora of California. Previous work has focused on sustainable use of economically important palms in Mexico and Peru, while current focus is on rare southern California and Baja California natives plants.
