Description:

Calamintha dentata is an aromatic, bushy shrub that can grow to 5 decimeters tall. It grows a wide range of sandy, well drained habitats, such as pine sandhills, roadsides, and planted pine plantations. Plants are densely leaved, produce small purplish flowers, and have a minty odor. (NatureServe 2001)

Habitat:

Found in Sandhills, and Scrub sand pine/oak areas of Florida's xeric uplands. (Coile 2001) May also be found in a wide range of alternative habitats such as roadsides and abandoned fields (NatureServe 2001)

Distribution:

Found in Bay, Gadsden, Jackson, Liberty, Wakulla, Walton and Washington Counties, Florida. (Coile 2000)
