The Arboretum at Flagstaff holds at least three long term conservation seed collections of this species from Marble Canyon in Coconino National Forest. The Arb staff plans to recollect seed from these populations originally collected in the year 2000 as part of CPC's IMLS funded seed longevity project to evaluate how the germination rates and RNA integrity of this species endures in long term seed storage.
