According to a March 2023 extract of the Florida Plant Rescue Database, Bok Tower Gardens holds 1 accessions of Rhexia salicifolia totalling approximately 2800 seeds.

Scattered about the western and central Florida panhandle and adjacent Alabama. In 2007, it was also found at one site in Georgia. Disturbance from recreational use of lakes and ponds, clearcutting, and residential development is having a severe impact on this species.
