The National Tropical Botanical Garden is excited to announce a new collaboration with The Garden Club of America on two scholarships related to tropical botany. This collaboration signifies a shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of botanists and conservationists dedicated to preserving our irreplaceable tropical ecosystems. Both awards are open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents who are enrolled in a U.S.-based institution. Applications must be received January 15, 2024.
The Loy McCandless Marks Scholarship promotes the study of tropical horticulture and landscape architecture in an international setting for graduate or undergraduate students. Two or more awards of $5,000 each will be granted by the Garden Club of America (GCA) in collaboration with National Tropical Botanical Garden annually.
