Rare plant mentoring, internships, etc. – sharing resources and creating new opportunities

Hello CPC community! Following a lively break-out session on the subject at the Annual Meeting a few weeks ago, CPC has kindly started this new forum topic where the community can share resources and envision collaborations around mentoring the next generation of rare plant scientists and practitioners. As one of the facilitators of that break-out, I’m following up here to send a few resources that were discussed, in the hope that they will be useful.

This program will be present at the Annual Meeting in 2025 and 2026, and in that final year we hope to present our findings and experiences in this novel network funded by NSF.

Morton collaborates with one in Chicago led by small area colleges called PUMA- STEM: https://www.elmhurst.edu/academics/research/puma-stem/about-puma-stem-and-lsamp/ we could write one among several gardens.
