Dear Center for Plant Conservation network,

I wish to inform everyone that ECHO’s (HomeAg Portal) North America Regional Impact Center in Fort Myers, Florida, USA, will be hosting the IV International Symposium on Underutilized Plant Species on 20-24 October 2025, under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science. The event will bring professionals from across the globe to learn, exchange ideas, and network with each other to create biodiverse agroecosystems that thrive in their contexts. The program will feature plenary, oral, and poster sessions, a full day at ECHO’s Global Research and Demonstration Farm, and field excursions to surrounding agricultural sites.

See the event website, https://underutilizedplants25.org, for details about abstract submission and registration. Act soon, as registration ends on July 18, 2025. Abstracts can be submitted through July 11. It is possible to attend, learn, and network without presenting research.

Looking forward to seeing many of you in October!

    Tim Motis
