Raquel Folgado holds a Doctorate in Bioscience Engineering (KU Leuven, Belgium). She serves as a cryopreservation researcher at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in Southern California (USA). She’s leading different projects that involve aloes, agaves, cacti, magnolias, avocado, oaks and other plant species of interest. Dr. Folgado has created in vitro repositories at The Huntington to preserve and allow distribution of aloes, agaves and magnolias. Dr. Folgado serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals, she is associated with scientific societies and she collaborates with researchers worldwide (Australia, Belgium, Mexico, USA, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic).
