Senior biologist/plant ecologist at Santa Clara Valley Water District located in San Jose, CA.  Over 20 years experience as a rare plant botanist in Santa Clara County.  Interests include serpentine endemic species, wetlands, plant pathology, and conservation biology and ecology of rare species.  Work includes extensive research and recovery of rare taxa including Cirisum fontinale var. campylon, Ceanothus ferrisiae, Collinsia multicolor, and Castilleja affinis ssp. neglecta.  Co-chair of Phytophthoras in Native Habitats Work Group, Executive Committee member of the California Oak Mortality Task Force, and member of CNPS Ad Hoc Committee on Phytophthoras.  Member of USFWS techical team for recovery of Polygonum hickmanii.
