Not sure if this is the right forum, but was wondering if anyone had experience with writing a cost estimate for the temporary housing of plants. It would be fewer than 100 plants so a relatively small effort but we were asked for a cost quote and I wanted to have a justifiable answer.

Hi Emily, Just curious what context you are looking to house plants? Are these wild rare plants that you are rescuing for salvage purposes?

Hi Katie, thanks for the questions. My organization was asked to house ~80 individuals of two rare plants (one state listed, another of interest) that will be salvaged from public land while a transmission line is put in place.  A few of the salvaged individuals will eventually be passed onto researchers and the rest will either be reestablished in the wild or moved to an ex situ living collection.
