Distribution & Occurrence
Highly localized distribution in western Santa Barbara County, where it is associated with needlegrass grasslands dominated by Avena spp. (a nonnative wild oat), and occasional native purple needlegrass. Its habitat lies on an uplifted, narrow marine terracte 150 to 200 ft. above sea level Positas soils, which consist of acidic, fine, sandy loams.
|1 population extended along 2 miles stretch of coastal terrace 15 subpopulations. Dieter Wilken recorded three populations.|
