About
Cornell Botanic Gardens is the arboretum, botanical garden, and natural areas of Cornell University. Its fourteen botanical collections celebrate the relationship between plants, people, and the natural environment. Specialized tree collections in the 150 acre arboretum include chestnuts, conifers, flowering crabs, oaks, maples, and urban trees.
Our natural areas encompass nearly 4,000 acres on 50 biologically diverse sites, showcasing representative ecological communities of the Cayuga Lake basin, including many rare types. These communities include bogs, fens, gorges, glens, meadows, woodlands, and other valuable communities and features.
